BOMU EVENTS ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
At Bomu, we’re always building with people who care deeply about detail, collaboration, and service. Our Events Team supports celebrations of all kinds—from intimate gatherings to large-scale weddings and corporate socials—while staying rooted in our belief that events are about people first.
Team members work as independent contractors under Bomu LLC and are selected on an event-by-event basis based on availability, experience, and fit. There are multiple ways to grow within Bomu, with training and mentorship provided based on experience and depth of understanding.
For the 2026 season, we’re inviting applicants to join in one of two ways:
Option 1: Events Team Member
Events Team Members support the execution of Bomu events across planning, production, and day-of logistics. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, teamwork, and learning the flow of live events.
What this can include:
Assisting with event setup, transitions, and breakdown
Supporting planners and coordinators on event days
Helping manage timelines, vendor needs, and guest flow
Working alongside Bomu’s floral, creative, rentals, and bar teams
This role offers flexibility and exposure to a wide range of event types, with opportunities to grow into more senior or specialized roles over time.
Option 2: Wedding Coordinator (2026)
Wedding Coordinators oversee the execution of weddings and serve as the operational lead on event days. Coordinators ensure that all moving parts—from vendors to timelines to the wedding party—are aligned and flowing smoothly.
In this role, Coordinators:
Oversee the full wedding-day process, ensuring nothing is missed
Supervise and direct Bomu team members during execution
Communicate regularly with the Director to ensure day-to-day decisions align with the overall vision
Serve as a key point of contact for vendors, the wedding party, and clients during execution
Support pre-wedding preparation, including timelines, floor plans, and internal briefs
This role is wedding-focused for the 2026 season but exists within a broader Bomu ecosystem. Coordinators may also support non-wedding events and other Bomu services, with training provided based on experience.
General Skills & Qualities We Look For
Regardless of role, strong candidates typically demonstrate:
The ability to prioritize, organize, and manage responsibilities within existing commitments
Strong attention to detail and care for the client and team experience
A collaborative mindset and clear communication across teams and environments
Comfort managing multiple tasks and adapting quickly in live-event settings
A service-oriented approach rooted in professionalism and calm problem-solving
If you’re excited about creating meaningful experiences, working collaboratively, and growing within a creative events team, we’d love to hear from you. Applicants may indicate interest in one or both roles during the application process.
